Mountain Manor - House Plan for Queen Creek, Arizona

This custom home in Queen Creek, Arizona, was never completed, but it was an important opportunity to explore a design-first approach. The home blends mountain-inspired architecture with the functional planning needed for everyday living, including tall roof pitches, shingle details, and sweeping roof lines.

The Introduction

At planned RITE, we typically begin with the floor plan and shape the exterior around the home’s function. For this project, the design process started from the outside and was then developed into a layout that supported the client’s goals for style and livability.

02

The Lighting

Natural light was a major priority for this client. By incorporating generous windows and tall ceilings, the home was designed to feel open, bright, and connected to the outdoors.

The "WOW" Factor

A home should feel impressive both from the outside and the moment you walk through the door. This design achieves that feeling with tall ceilings, a dramatic staircase, and coordinated exterior and interior finishes.

04

The Challenges

Designing a home from the exterior inward required a different workflow than our usual process. While we still prefer to begin with the floor plan, this project gave us valuable ideas about how to balance form, function, and architectural expression.

3D models and renderings are part of the design process for every home we create, helping clients visualize the layout and exterior before construction begins.
